  1. This all hit right in the middle of me having an insane amount of things to do... had friends over from back home and luckily they came and went before it hit, but I was supposed to go to Tampa for 4 days for WrestleMania and a bunch of other things with one of my best friends which got cancelled, I haven't seen Inter Miami kick a football yet despite having paid up like $300 to them (they still keep taking my money, thanks lads) and the hockey season got upended too, and I was going to see Adam Sandler with my inlaws. So a bunch of things got 'postponed' (read: no refunds) but at least some w

  2. Matt Cheap formerly of SHOOTIN GOON, THE CHEAPSKATES and GOOD CLEAN FUN RECORDS label & distro. Managed ADEQUATE SEVEN for a bit, spent a lot of time touring the toilet circuit around Europe before working in film and TV production for a while. Played in a wedding band CAPITAL CITY SKA for 10 years and got paid more for the first gig than I ever did in the Goon. Also formed THE BARRY HORNS brass band with other ex-Goons, Ad7 boys and a few others (Howl joined in as well) and did that for 7 years before knocking it on the head. Living in Cardiff, still go to gigs though mostly in Bri

  3. Like the title say really, what are we looking forward to when lockdown ends and we can go about daily life? Can be anything from actually being able to see loved ones and friends, working properly again to something trite like just being able to go out and grab a coffee. Most of my plans involve food.

  4. I’ve actually started to jot things down on my magnetic monthly whiteboard pen fridge calendar (grown up tingz). It has just said FUCK ALL in the middle of it since April started so I thought this would be more productive. Candid list: -Wild swimming -Finish HAAST album (literally had one vocal recording session left) -Loads of outdoor lead climbing -Eat an obscenely expensive dinner somewhere -Long holiday in Italy -Motorbike trip to Ireland -Al fresco banging -Camp and climbing trip to Oxwich Bay -Host a BBQ That’s all I’ve got

  5. Ah yeah that's a shame you weren't into it when we used to have PPVs on all the time, I got burnt out on it all tbh... I preferred UFC before they flooded their roster with everyone from their reality show, most of whom just weren't as skilled as the big names of the time. It looks like it's settled since then, but I never got the urge to jump back in. I'd go see a live fight again for sure, they were always fun. I was always into hockey growing up, but moving here cemented the love which I wasn't expecting. Used to be a half season ticket holder for my local NHL team and a wardrobe full

  6. Ah man, seeing Strike Anywnere and Good Riddance over the same weekend will be awesome. Last time I saw Good Riddance they opened for Pennywise at the Hollywood Palladium when I was in LA for work in 2016, and they were the band of the night for sure. Jealous. I am literally looking forward to just getting a CBD slushie from The Greenery in Cardiff Market 😄

  7. The first season of Dirty Money was so good, I need to hunker down with the new ones for sure. Yeah I'll rename this one now so people bored of TK realise it's not just that.

  8. I borrowed a pressure washer and it's the greatest thing. Anyone that breaks the social distancing rules within range of my yard gets pressure washed in the face.

  9. Getting my bands next album out, been slow going since last year (due to individual band member commitments), get the ball rolling and then this all kicked off. So that, that and long cycles, lots of headspace long cycles in to the wilderness.

  12. I never got into UFC - Connors had a watching party one night at his old place by Virgin Megastore in town with (I think Luke, Richey, Pete Staunch and maybe a few other people), and we had a great time watching Immortal videos and talking shit until the early hours, then the actual event started, and this Russian geezer who fought actual bears came out and sparked the other fella with a jab to the jaw in about 40 seconds... kinda put me off from then on to be honest! I did however also get into K1 Muay Thai for a time - an old school friend of mine used to fight at amateur level,

  13. I can’t wait to go back to work - I’m really lucky that I love what I do, and all the people I work with. my partner also had a baby a few days before this all really kicked off, so none of our family have met him yet, so we’re looking forward to he able to take him out properly and show him off.

  16. How timely. I swear I was trying to look back on some of the old and gold threads just a couple weeks ago for some nostalgic mirth. Was gutted to see it was all gone. I’m Hywel (of Bullets), and xhywelx before that. I guess SWM’s falling by the wayside coincided the beginnings of my career as a pencil pushing civil servant. Which I’m still doing in the health department of WG, currently embroiled in this Covid shit, so there’s really no escape from it. I was in all the bands back in the day and then hit 30 and thought “fuck that, I ain’t trying to be no old man in a rock band”. The
