Lesson No.1 presents FOREIGN OBJECTS / SOLUTIONS / PERSONAL BEST

FRIDAY 1 JUNE

LESSON NO.1 PRESENTS:

FOREIGN OBJECTS
Three ladies and a dude from Boston, MA – ex of bands including AMPERE, LIBYANS and THE CONVERSIONS – take a left turn to make incredibly catchy and great punk rock which also incorporates riot grrrl, garage and postpunk. They have some seven-inch singles and an LP called ‘No Sensation’ which rips. This is their first UK tour. http://foreignobject...blogspot.co.uk/

SOLUTIONS
Punk rock from Cardiff that is ‘melodic’ yet also ‘angular’, recalling Gainesville gruffness and 90s post-hardcore at various moments. They have one album, ‘Before The Roars’, and a split EP with Goodtime Boys to their name, and album number two ‘Histrionics’ is soon to be released. https://www.facebook.../solutionsmusic

PERSONAL BEST
Two people making rock music inspired by bands featuring more than two people. One member of BEDFORD FALLS (south Wales) and one member of CAVES (Bristol); “owing as much to the forceful power of Sleater-Kinney and Superchunk as Best Coast and Belle And Sebastian.” They don’t have any music online but if you use the power of the Google you can find people saying nice things about them!

ALL HAPPENING AT: Buffalo, Windsor Place, Cardiff

7-10pm (note the early finish!)

£6 on the door

By the way, if anyone here is excited about seeing Foreign Objects they should totally come and see Woolf at Undertone tonight, the latter band were fearsomely great in Bristol last night

I put these guys on in Leeds a couple of days ago and they were awesome, so tight and exciting live. I'm back in South Wales so will be coming out to see them tonight, I recommend everyone else do the same!

Hi Jon, thanks!

We have not, because I am lazy and busier than usual of late. I MUST do it soon though because loads of people have asked for it. In fact, I'm going to get on that right now.
