I set my cats on any creatures that enter my house that I want dead, I can then use the 'it's natural' excuse and have a clear conscious. Down side they also bring in dead creatures and hide them for me to discover.

Great thread, more pics though please :D

Your mate caught Cthulu? I don't believe that for a second.

Why are so many grown men afraid of Spiders? It's not like we live in areas where they jump and bite people's faces off.

If Cthulu is a lamprey that attaches itself to trout then yes.

To combine many posts...I have dissected a lamprey during my degree.

and a giant African land snail, chick, rat, mouse, locust, trout, eyes, pluck (lungs, heart and liver), cow eye, kidney

Our kids in school get to do eyes, kidney, sometimes a rat depending if you have time and think the class will learn from it, heart higher up the school, and often a pluck

I personally prefer it if men "keep it tidy" down there.  Nothing worse than feeling like you are sucking on a dog paw.

Yeah but if I ever have to travel through the Australian outback, I will be able to run several miles away from any terrifying spider quickly thanks to all the practice I've had over the years.

You'll have to excuse my terrible photography for this one. We were in Japan when these creatures surfaced all over the country. They live underground for 4 or 5 years, then come to the surface, make a noise easily as loud as a car alarm for a couple of days, then piss off back to hell.

Easily the most noise I've ever heard coming out of a tiny creature.

Cicadas is it? I've seen that on a docu on telly before. In America they only come out like once every 15 years or so

Very possibly, I think that thing above is at a stage in between the larvae and the adult.

It may well be 15 years, we were being told about them in broken English.

I don't like killing spiders, or woodlice, or silverfish, or most other house insects. However, I will kill wasps and maybugs without remorse and I'd do it again I tell you. How come they always get all up in my grill when I'm trying to have a cigarette in the garden at twilight? They know they're bastards and they just like fucking with you.

I feel the same about spiders.

Fucking hate shield bugs, I am more scared of them than any other British bug and I have no idea why. Possibly because the bastards won't let go when you try and sweep them off your clothes, you find them hours later in your hair....urghhhhh makes me itchy just looking at it
