Absolutely flawless, I think it's even as good as the first one, if not better. The 3D is really subtle, but as always with Pixar, it's just so clear and amazing. So good.

Cool, where did you get to see it? I'm going to go to one of the screenings after work on Monday. Hopefully I can scrape through into the 5pm and hopefully avoid a big crowd and bad seating. (Inception we were stuck 3 rows from the screen and we got there pretty early!)

I'm a manager at a cinema and we had a press showing last night for reviews over the weekend :)

Absolutely brilliant. I loved it from start to finish.

Spoiler

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast and the taste is... fleeting. So, you end up with nothing but broken bits filled with hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts. And if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you got left is an empty box filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Absolutely no need to see it in 3D. It actually spoiled it a bit for me as the galsses are so uncomfortable.

I was wearing the 3D glasses as well as my regular seeing glasses and it wasn't uncomfortable. As for whether there's a point to 3D or not, that's down to personal preference. I am glad I paid the extra for 3D and will continue to do so on certain pictures.

I'll see 'real' 3D (shot in 3D like Avatar or created in a 3D environment like Toy Story), but simply cannot be bothered with the 'retrofitted to 3D to make you pay more' nonsense that everything else uses (Clash of the Titans, Alice in Wonderland etc).

This was my first 3D movie, and I was pleasantly suprised. I was a bit scared it was going to be really gimmicky, like Buzz was going to explode out of the screen to save the day or some such shit. Instead, I barely even noticed that it was in 3D, and I mean that as a compliment. It wasn't gimmicky or in your face, it just looked better.

And, yes, I agree with everyone else: it was fucking awesome. Probably the best of the three.

I can't do 3D because it makes me ill. The one time I did try it, it just seemed very gimmicky indeed and no different to when this was tried in the 80s

What an ace film. Disney Pixar just keep upping their game.

The furnace scene is superb. You're just not meant to see toys accepting death like that, but it worked incredibly well. Brilliant way to end it too.

Also, the Day And Night short at the start is my favourite out of all of them I think. It was far more mind bending than Inception.

I went thinking I'd see a well-made sequel.
In no way was I prepared for what was basically a rumination or the tragedy of growing up and the nature of loss.
It resounds with a pure, emotional note that approaches the greatness of My Neighbour Totoro (who is tellingly featured as a character).

Superb.

Yup.
There were moments when I almost remembered what it was like not to hate everything.
