What i can help is with getting it publicised in the media, radio, press etc...

I need some details and the like, and then watch me go.

As far as the day is concerned, i can turn up and help out if need be.

People are working hard behind the scenes on the line-up. ;)

Thank you on the PR offer.

When is Stars Sam? Good stuff.

I can flyer my University for a few days but I don't know much about making flyers, and they'd be a little useless without the lineup on I guess.
Please be kind if I'm a mess.

I'll help on the door, provide baked goods if there is going to be some sort of food thing, help if there is a raffle etc.. Anything!

How about getting all the local bands to donate a c.d/merch which could be raffled off on the night as one bulk prize?

this is a great idea and good to see so many people offering to help / raise money, but i seriously can't see the burmese government allowing any significant amount of foreign aid inside any time soon. where is the money going to go if they don't?

edit: omission!

MSF are working (or trying at least) in Burma, so I'm guessing the collection will be passed to them as they are the usual recipients of the fundraising here, at worst it'll go to someone else in need of emergency aid.

Yeah, we're working on the presumption that by the time the money's counted, the situation will hopefully have changed also.

it would be a good idea to donate some money at least to a burmese buddhist association, afterall they are the ones who have had the biggest effect and are doing the most to directly help :)
