  1. Well you definitely get poster of the day award, top work mate.
  2. I bought a bass a few months ago and there's a good chance I'm even worse now than I was before. In the words of Bill and Ted, maybe it's time I learnt how to play.
  3. Let's go invade Dragon Ninja.
  4. Looks like it didn't like the mobile YouTube links so I switched em out. The daughters one was the same link as the Sunstroke one though.
  5. Ha, yeah live MMA events are definitely a thing to enjoy for a multitude of reasons. I remember scoring a few tickets for Valley of Kings for doing a bit of promo on here. The main memory of the night was a dude coming out dressed as Inspector Gadget complete with a dubstep version of the theme, and promptly getting knocked out so hard he had to be wheelchaired off. https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/9631-vok-1 Used to go to a few down in Cardiff Bay too, was tempted to go to Bare Knuckle Fight Club here a few months back until I found out it wasn't just a clever name and d
  6. Yeah for sure, can't have these things just disappear. I have soooome stuff but low quality as it was for streaming and I wouldn't use mine unless nobody else can find copies.
  7. I had it on from the beginning of the prelims at 6pm so I was burnt out by the time the main championship matches came on, I watched some of the Aldo one where the ref needs to be fired on the spot. The women's matches on the main card were both really good. I see there's a welsh dude on the prelim tomorrow so I'll stick that on for sure. I loved Halt and Catch Fire, the cast in that show is just the absolute best. Made me laugh by the end of the show they pretty much invented everything in tech between about 5 of them. Silicon Valley was fun too, I finished watching that recently.
  8. That's in my next batch of shows to get through once I clear some current ones out, he soured me with the Chris Brown thing a bit but heard good things about the show. UFC Fight Island is on Saturday, so I've reserved some beers and low expectations for that.
  9. Yeah you guys are only just behind me in terms of pure heat. Humidity has the ‘feels like’ at 39c here today though. I don’t envy being back home without AC though, if I ever move back I will gladly spend however much it costs to have it installed even if I only use it one week a year.
  10. Podcast episode time! Reply All - #158 - The Case of the Missing Hit I’ve had this saved in my ‘to listen to’ list for a few months and finally got around to it yesterday. Was such a great break from the grind of reality for an hour, highly recommended. Just a fun story that had me hooked. (Reply All is such a great podcast, and if you want more then I recommend listening to the two parter Long Distance which is about Indian scam tech support calls, and goes in such a wild direction.)
  11. It's a Scientology run place, the beach is supposed to be lovely but would you trust what's in the water? ;)
  12. Yeah this one looks neat, glad you liked! Yeah pretty much the whole state is under curfew, I didn't get the alert for some reason but others did. 9pm here, which is later than some places which were 4pm. The original protest for here was in a cuty a few minutes drive from me but the officials refused to allow it so they moved it downtown instead. The direct footage I saw was all peaceful, people singing and spirits looked good. Then it sounds like the police/SWAT turned up and provoked violence, like pretty much everywhere else. I thought I might see some collateral damage on my way t
  13. Who needs Netflix when you can stick on YouTube Live and watch a bunch of dudes run into a police station and burn it down. The future of TV!
  14. Yeah, there's just too much current/backlog stuff that I really want to watch to be really eager about one in a genre I've never really cared about. Even before the last season smackdown, I would see constant moaning from people as the show went on. Same with Walking Dead, glad I stopped watching that before everyone watching it decided it was the worst thing ever. And Sons of Anarchy. More shows like The Americans please, super consistent and ended strong. Succession, Brockmire, Last Dance in the current lineup.
  15. Agreed. My thing: 3rd credit card cloned and used in the space of 2 months. I don't use my card anywhere weird and I try to use Apple Pay as much as possible as it obfuscates the number on use, so this is a real pain in the butt. Then having paranoia that the phone call I got about it was a part of the scam too, so I hung up on them.
  16. I honestly don't have any regrets never going past the end of Season 1. I enjoyed it for what it was, but eh.
  17. The second they cast Andy Daly as the main dude in the wall, I knew they'd use him for something good and messed up. Like when he shows up in Veep, anyone who doesn't know him will just assume he's a random geeky office dude.
  18. Speaking of nostalgia, they've finaaaaaally announced a proper HD redo of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 in a double pack with most of the original music. Looks absolutely perfect and everything I've been waiting for for years. Roll on September (human life now scheduled to become extinct in August).
  19. When the weekend just doesn't take away any of the blues, and you start a fresh week and the world is still blah.
  20. Ah that's a shame, I did like mid90s plenty but just preferred Kitchen. Crazy how 2018 was the year of the skating film, though. I watched that How To Build a Girl, which has Jonah Hill's sister in it who was great in Booksmart. I wish I hadn't read prior that it was written by Caitlin Moran as I then saw every scene as her just writing way to blow smoke up her own ass. It was alright I guess, but I just find Moran very annoying and it shone through in the writing. e: also yeah, kkklansman was great for sure. The bit with the bomb was just ear to ear grins. Also finsihed Solar
  21. First 5 episodes or so is build up, build up, build up then it just kicks into gear so hard and you know everything going on from both sides. I still like it plenty, but I don't really view it with expectations beyond 'will it make me laugh'. Thought the new episode was funny, and I enjoy them taking swipes at their toxic fanbase. Ha, a show I've heard of but know nothing about but the soundtrack list sounds fun. I wish I just didn't have an absolute slew of dramas to get through. Finally finished Mandalorian last night which was excellent all the way through, RIP
  22. I haven't followed UFC in about a decade, but I'll see if I can find a working stream online and jump in. PPVs are like $60 here for sporting things, it's ridic. They still charge the $10 fee for HD too from memory, absolutely stuck in the past.
  23. I'm really looking forward to this, the OJ doc was incredible and 30 For 30 is just one of the best documentary series' ever. I started watching Betty on HBO last night, I totally didn't know it was being made. It's a continuation of Skate Kitchen from 2018 which I loved. It seemed to get lost in the mix of skating movies due to the Jonah Hill mid90s film (which was fine) and Minding the Gap (which was really good), but I preferred Kitchen to both of those personally. Also finished Never Have I Ever which despite being a comdey managed to hit enough buttons in the final episo
